Mary had a normal Saturday on January 19th, as her husband Bill indicated. She went shopping with her daughter Gail, played with her Collies and just enjoyed a day off. Saturday night she went up to get ready for bed, where she collapsed and died. Her husband Bill attempted CPR, but there was no pulse.
The reunion team attended the funeral and we were astonished
at the number of mourners who paid their last respects. Initially final respects were scheduled from
10 to 11 am, with the memorial service at 11 am. The memorial service did not
start until 12:15 because of the immense number of mourners. The police had to
introduce crowd control for the 250-300 mourners because of the cold and length
of the line that waited outside the funeral home. -- The
point being made is that she was loved and respected by so many people and
participated in so many charitable organizations.
So have no fear the reunion activities will forge on as Mary would have certainly wanted.
Her goal was to have the best reunion and to see every classmate at the 40th, so don’t disappoint her memory.
